They are known for the famed pilotico and Andullo tobaccos that Montecristo has used in several highly rated cigars.

The Hispaniola is handcrafted in the Dominican using a blend of these rare Dominican tobaccos as well as some Nicaraguan leaves. The wrapper is a reddish brown Ecuadorian Sumatran leaf that fits in perfectly with the red band. Each puff delivers notes of pepper, spice, and a touch of sweetness and nuts. The construction is one of the best we’ve seen on an H.Upmann and its complexity is bar none.
