Opus X, one of the rarest, most heavily sought after, and hardest to find premium cigars on the planet, now has a mellower cousin called The Lost City. Like its heralded counterpart, this gem offered me luxury cigar smoking at its best. This cigar has a hearty-looking Corojo wrapper that is deep reddish-brown in color and very oily. The smoke was dense and revealed hearty notes of earth, spice, cedar, and pepper as soon as it was lit. At the midway point, Lost City takes on some softer notes of cocoa, cream, nuts, and caramel. The final third brings all of these complex flavors together, and the finish was very sweet. Fuente Fuente Opus X The Lost City is an exceptional cigar that I reserve for the most special occasions.
