It’s clear the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Jaime García, son of renowned cigar maker José Pepín García, crafted this premium handmade blend with aged ingredients from the family factory. Dressed in an oily, jet-black Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, and packed to the brim with zesty Nicaraguan long fillers, this full-bodied stick could only be the product of years of practice. It’s a robust blend of flavors, beginning with a peppery espresso draw and finishing on a smooth exhale of cedar and earth. The way each layer of flavor was so expertly balanced was definitely reminiscent of García’s father’s work, but don’t be fooled: Jaime is headed for a top spot of his own in this industry.
