Ommegang Brewery Idyll Days Pilsner & Macanudo Inspirado Palladium Churchill

Ommegang Brewery Idyll Days Pilsner  is a classic  rustic Belgian-style pilsner. Brewed with authentic floor-malted barley from the Czech Republic, fermented with Belgian lager yeast, and then patiently cellared until mature. Presented in its essential, unfiltered form, Idyll Days are glorious in its simplicity and delightful in taste, the beer pours a deep brown color and provides hearty notes of wheat, peppercorn, some soft chocolate tones, and subtle nuances of pepper.

Fitting the bill perfectly is the & Macanudo Inspirado Palladium Churchill.  These decadent cigars are rolled in a popular (7 x 48) size using Brazilian, Nicaraguan, and Dominican long-fillers, covered by a beautiful dark brown Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper leaf. What set’s Inspirado Palladium apart from any other Macanudo blend is the fact that it employs an old Cuban technique that involves using tercios to age the tobacco.

With tercios, the tobaccos are aged in large palm bark-wrapped bales instead of traditional burlap. The bark forms a tighter seal, trapping in oil and bringing out the tobacco’s natural taste characteristics. The end result is a medium-bodied smoke with intensely delicious flavors of black pepper, oak, chocolate, earth, and black coffee, accented by some floral tones on the finish.
