Presented to me in its glass tube sealed with melted plastic, Gurkha His Majesty's Reserve Churchill looked like an ultra-premium cigar fit for a king—and for $1000 bucks a pop, it certainly was! Worthy of its regal name, this opulent stick, cloaked in a licorice black 15 year old Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper and infused with Louis XIII cognac, was almost too intimidating for this working stiff to smoke, but smoke it I did—and wow, what an incredibly smooth, sweet, nutty, and spicy experience it was. Unless I win the lottery, this will have been my only His Majesty's Reserve cigar, but I sure as heck’ will never forget it!
