CAO Flathead Steel Horse Apehanger was a delicious part of the company’s motor-head inspired lineup of premium cigars. Named after the high handlebars found on some customized choppers, this big 5 x58 Robusto was covered by a darker than normal, rich, brown EMS Connecticut wrapper. surrounding a three-nation blend of premium long filler tobacco. The cigar started with a peppery blast, soon followed by rich notes of earth, cedar, oak, spice, and coffee, that held its complexity right down to the nub. Sold in 5-packs, CAO Flathead Steel Horse Apehanger was a great way to sample these tasty cigars before I invested in a box. Needless to say, with such a glowing review, these gems from CAO have now found a permanent home in my humidor.
