How do you follow up one of the most beloved cigars in the country? Well, I don’t know the specifics, but I do know that RoMa Craft succeeded in a dynamite sequel to its amazing CroMagnon. The Aquitaine is also a full-bodied Nicaraguan cigar, but with several differences that make it just as good, but also completely unique. It features vintage tobaccos grown in the volcanic ash of Nicaragua, which are then covered by a toothy Cameroon binder that adds subtle notes of spice and coffee to the mix. Instead of a Connecticut maduro wrapper, the Aquitaine has a spicy Ecuadorian Habano leaf with notes of pepper and zest that combine beautifully with the rich and toasty filler and binder. Not since Terminator 2 has a sequel been this popular.
