For this project, Nicholas III sourced wrapper from Cuban seed tobacco grown in Nicaragua. The dark leaf coils around binder that is made up of never-before-used Nicaraguan shade grown tobacco. The filler tobacco consists of three different varietals, each grown at one of the Perdomo family farms in Nicaragua throughout the regions of Esteli, Condega and Jalapa. After the wrapper is aged a decade, it’s placed in bourbon barrels for another 14 months of seasoning, lending the smoke a playful blend of chocolate, espresso, caramel and peppery notes.
