Hoyo De Monterrey

Shade

Hoyo De Monterrey Brand Background Hoyo de Monterrey has a long history beginning in Cuba and continuing in the United States through General Cigar Co. Since the 1960s, they’ve been launching incredible cigars like the Excalibur and La Amistad, with the more recent Rojo and Oscuro lines. Hoyo has always leaned into bold, complex, and well-crafted profiles. The latest Shade balances their portfolio with a cigar that’s more approachable. It gives people a way to experience the same craftsmanship without having to wrestle with powerful and bolder complex sticks. It’s the perfect option if you want a smoke that’s easier on your tastebud and wallet. Why The Shade is a Must Buy What makes this cigar line so special is its shade-grown leaf bringing something unique to the table. The difference starts in the growing fields in Honduras. Grown under synthetic protective canopies that filter the sun’s intensity, these leaves grow thinner and silkier, concentrating all its nuances and quiet complexities into a gorgeous cigar. It takes longer, but this patient cultivation shows up immediately when you fire up a Hoyo de Monterrey Shade. Each draw pulls like a dream, delivering fuller volumes of smoke. The experience builds gradually creating a rhythm deepening over time. The subtle sweetness develops as you smoke, the kind that creeps along the edges of your tongue making you slow down appreciate the rich complexity that’s happening to your palate. The quality craftsmanship and silky-smooth tobacco create an unforgettable, out-of-this-world blend you just have to try. Hoyo de Monterrey Shade Cigar Blend, Construction, and Sizes The Hoyo de Monterrey Shade is 100% Honduran. It wears a silky Honduran Shade wrapper, Honduran binder, and Honduran filler.
