La Gloria Cubana

Los Gloriosos

Before he launched E.P. Carrillo, before the accolades and the prestigious recognition, there was El Credito and La Gloria Cubana. After selling the brand, Ernesto worked for General Cigar Co., before eventually leaving to start E.P. Carillo. Now, for the first time in years, he’s back in the fold by personally blending this new line of La Gloria Cubana at the prestigious Casa Carrillo factory. This line leans into Ernesto’s strengths using rich blends that don’t shy away from flavor and strength. Each cigar is dressed in a beautiful Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with a double-layered Nicaraguan binder from Jalapa and Esteli. Inside, it covers select Dominican-grown and Nicaraguan grown tobacco from Jalapa and Condega. Expect a base of leather and espresso with a pulse of spice running through. Cocoa comes through midway and hangs around as an earthy finish takes hold. It’s a rich, structured, and wonderfully constructed cigar that reminds you of why Ernesto Perez-Carrillo is a legend in this industry. If you know Ernesto’s work, you’ll fall in love with his new one. If you’re new to his cigars, it’s a strong firsthand shake. You can try the La Gloria Cubana Los Gloriosos in three sizes, including the La Gloria Cubana Los Gloriosos Toro 6x50, Gigante 6x60, and the Grandioso 7x58. Each one is boxed in sets of 20 with classic packaging that pays homage to its heritage.
