Asylum 13 Ogre Lancero 7X38 is a long and lean premium cigar presented in an eye catching barber pole design. As for the distinguishing characteristics, this top self-Nicaraguan puro features a candela ( green) wrapper intertwined with a maduro Nicaraguan Habano leaf to closely resemble a barber pole. I enjoyed a medium-to-full bodied smoke that had me guessing which top note would next provide the dominant flavor. The cigar released rich, bold, flavors of hay, citrus, and cedar when the flame touched the candela wrapper, followed by notes of chocolate, and black pepper, when the flame reached the maduro leaf. Guessing which flavor comes next, kept me glued to my recliner, enjoying every puff on the Asylum 13 Ogre Lancero.
