Crowned Heads La Vereda

No. 56 / 6.25 x 56

CHLV56
While I have enjoyed Crowned Heads since their inception in 2011, none have impressed me the way Crowned Heads La Vereda cigars have. Marking Crowned Heads’ most premium offering to date, brand owner Jon Huber worked with the famous cigar maker Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. for over a year developing the blend for La Vereda. They came up with a blend of tobaccos from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, with each leaf extensively aged for 3-4 years. It starts with an interior blend of Dominican Piloto Cubano and Nicaraguan Corojo ’99 and Criollo ’98 all packed into a sweet Nicaraguan Jalapa binder. The finishing touch is a top-shelf Nicaraguan Jalapa wrapper that was shade grown and aged for at least 4 years. To top it all off, La Vereda and its 4 larger-ring sizes were crafted by the absolute best cigar makers at Tabacalera La Alianza in the Dominican Republic who were told to take their time to ensure each cigar is rolled flawlessly, and the cigars are aged an additional 90 days after rolling. The result is a decadent, rich and complex medium-bodied smoke that presents my palate with a tapestry of various spices, cocoa, earth, leather, oak, and a delightful sweetness. With each puff, I can taste the patience and pride that went into developing La Vereda, and it is definitely a blend I will keep in my humidor for special occasions. If you want to enjoy the luxury, complexity, and balance of Crowned Heads La Vereda, do what I did and order a box of 20 in your favorite size right here from Cigars.com.
