The release of the Davidoff Nicaraguan showed the cigar world that the company was willing to change up its game while continuing to create pristine, high-quality products. Still, the blenders at Davidoff were aching for a challenge. They decided to visit a land to which many cigar manufacturers will not venture: the nation of Brazil. The Escurio was crafted to re-create the feeling of a night in the famed city of Rio de Janeiro, and features rich, bold Brazilian tobaccos in its binder and filler (with the addition of some Dominican to make it even smoother). Its wrapper is a dark Ecuadorian Havana-seed leaf, which gives it a bold and complex profile.
