Foundation Menelik Toro cigars from Foundation Cigar Co. debuted as an event-only exclusive cigar, meaning it was designated to be handed out to attendees during in-store sales events. Now a regular production line, I got my hands on a box from local shop due to the rave reviews. I wasn’t disappointed, because this was a flawlessly rolled stick that burned like a champ while serving up rich, well refined flavors of earth, wood, and leather, backed by plenty of sweetness on a long-lasting finish. These delicious flavors came courtesy of a chewy San Andrés Mexican wrapper, vintage Nicaraguan Corojo 99’ binder and aged fillers from Nicaragua. These aged tobaccos provide a very smooth medium-to-full bodied smoke making it the perfect choice for smokers looking to move up a few notches in strength without becoming too strong or overbearing.
