Fernandez in Nicaragua into a long 6.75x52 perfecto shape with both the foot and cap tapering to a point, the Knight Commander Perfecto burns flawlessly from beginning to end. The blend consists of Nicaraguan long fillers from Jalapa and Esteli deftly bunched into a zesty San Andres Mexican binder and seamlessly finished by a top-shelf Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. The first few puffs are rich and dense, and when the burn moves past the tapering the smoke opens up to a bold and complex full-bodied bevy of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, peppery spices, espresso, earth, and a dried-fruit sweetness on the finish.
