Hoyo de Monterrey

Consistently delicious and always flawlessly rolled, Hoyo de Monterrey is the epitome of perfection when it comes to premium handmade Honduran cigars. I prefer the bigger-ring Hoyos when I’m casually herfin’ with the guys, but I always have a few smaller ones handy for my lunchtime break. The Hoyo de Monterrey brand, one of the first Cuban-style cigars made outside of Cuba, was my first foray into full-flavored smokes. Back in the day, starting with something mellow and working your way up in strength was a rite of passage for all newbie smokers. Many moons (and a bunch of gray hairs) later, this is still my favorite strong stick. Available in both EMS and maduro wrapper varieties, I have had more of my fair share of both, and they are equally delicious!
