Hoyo La Amistad Black

I recently purchased a 5-pack of Hoyo La Amistad Black Rothchild cigars and found it to be a great tasting, slow burning medium-to full bodied smoke. I must give kudos to AJ… because whenever he puts his modern spin on many Cuban Heritage classics, such as this gem from Hoyo, he always brings exciting new expressions of flavor that revitalizes many of these age-old brands. In the case of Hoyo La Amistad Black Rothchild, this famed cigarmaker utilizes a stunning, oily, and dark Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper that’s paired with a zesty Mexican San Andres binder, and a core of fully aged Nicaraguan long filler tobacco. After torching this deftly rolled 4.5 x 50 Robusto, I was greeted with delicious, highly complex flavors of earth coffee, white pepper, chocolate, and hints of black cherry. Once again AJ really hit out of the park with these reinvented Hoyo’s !
