When first finding out that L’Atelier cigars were made in the famous My Father factory, I knew I had to get my hands on some, and, boy, am I glad that I did! The construction of this cigar is superb, and the Ecuador wrapper is seamless and shows very small veins. Upon lighting, the smoke reveals some deep spice and leather flavors that soon welcome additional notes of coffee, chocolate, and cream delivered within a smooth, medium-strength profile. The cigar finishes with very creamy coffee notes that become more prominent. L’Atelier presents itself as a great midday or dessert smoke, and one that I would highly recommend.
