Foundation Metapa is an exquisite new line of premium cigars that pay homage to the birth town of Rubén Darío, a legendary Nicaraguan poet. The brand was named in Dario’s honor to reflect Nicaragua’s rich cultural heritage along with the artistry behind its world-class premium cigars. The blend for Metapa consists of an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper available in both a dark maduro and lighter claro shade, atop a Connecticut Broadleaf binder, and Nicaraguan long fillers from Estelí and Jalapa— two of the country’s top growing regions. Both wrapper styles provide a medium bodied experience offering their own unique flavor profiles. The Claro wrapped Metapa cigars offer sweet and spicy top notes backed by rich flavors of cedar, leather, and cocoa. whereas the maduro Metapa serves up ample amounts of chocolate, espresso, earth, and sweetness. Made by AJ Fernandez and rolled at his famed Tabacalera Fernandez factory, each cigar provides top notch construction, a great burn, and consistently great flavors from one smoke to the next.
