Foundation Charter Oak

Lonsdale / 6.25 x 46

Foundation Charter Oak is a line of premium cigars that is rich in both flavor and history. The Charter Oak is Nick Melillo’s love letter to his home state of Connecticut. The Oak tree on the band is a Connecticut landmark, where Connecticut colonists hid their royal charter so it would not fall into the hands of the British. The cigar is also dedicated to Nick’s grandfather, who was a lover of Connecticut tobacco. Charter Oak Foundation cigars are expertly hand rolled with aged Nicaraguan long filler tobacco from Jalapa and Estelí— two of the most fertile tobacco growing regions in the country. The cigars are topped off with your choice of two Connecticut wrappers; a silky shade grown leaf, or a darker and bolder Broadleaf maduro varietal. The lighter wrapped Charter Oak is mellow-to-medium bodied, whereas the Charter Oak maduro bumps up the strength to medium bodied. Both varieties deliver an abundance of mouthwatering flavors that includes chocolate, leather, earth, spice, cocoa, nuts, and cream, depending on which blend that you choose. Nick Melillo intended to make this brand more budget friendly, so he can share his product with a wider range of customers. The results have been fantastic, as Charter Oak cigars have become one of the most popular blends in the entire Foundation brand portfolio.
